I've recently taken delivery of a new JCB teletruk to replace my ageing 2001 model. The new machine is not a patch on the old one, it no longer uses Bosch Rexworth drive motors and has a completely different hydraulic system which I have found to be far inferior to the old one as the drive is very jerky and is is nearly impossible to boom out and go up/down simultaneously with out dangerously jerking up and down 4-6 inches which is no good when you're trying to put the forks in a 3" gap.
I have had visit from the JCB factory engineers today and they have told me there's nothing wrong with it and that my machine is nice and smooth with dexterity of control because its old and warn out I've told them to take it back as I cannot use it, which they don't seem very happy with, just wondered if anyone else is having problems?

Got one at work, although it's a couple of years old I don't like it, appaling when boom is out and to have decent control you have to constantly have the override button pressed down, half the time the overweight button is going off even when your just going along with sod all weight on it, it turns way too quick on the spot and rips through tyres, not a very great machine!

Sounds like the same model as mine, it has the override button that my older 2001 machine doesn't. How do you find it booming out as mine is practically uncontrollable?

It's difficult to be accurate unless the override button is on, got a loadall then is spot on for accuracy with the boom out, far easier to control!
