As of late, my Mercedes has been throwing up some 'visit workshop' messages when I use it, on an average of once every other journey. The suspension stiffness settings still work as far as I can tell, but the ride height is usually set to raised when I get out of the car at the end, regardless of if the dash has thrown a message up or not.

Has anyone had these symptoms before?

Car is a 2005 CLS 55.

Had a problem where the wires going to the air compressor frayed and rubbed on the arch liner. I cut the offending wires and plug off and soldered them straight into the compressor and no more problems.

My car was stuck at a comically high ride height in some sort of safe mode for driving.

Thanks - I got some recommendations through heavy googling, and wire fraying is the first thing I'll be looking at - relays if not, will update when found what the issue is.
