PHTV - Season 2, Episode 2

McLaren 675LT, a lap of Scotland and all the latest news in our second episode of the new PHTV

So as you'll have already seen Dan and James have left the pub and set up shop at a top secret test track (some of this is true) to shift the focus onto the driving. All Dan needs to do now is figure out what to do with his hands and all will be good...

Thankfully driving a McLaren 675LT means he needs to remove his thumbs from his belt loops and offer some insight from behind the wheel of this most impressive British supercar and hopeful indicator of more good things to come from Woking. We've also got a feature on the PH drive of Scotland's amazing North Coast 500 and more news, views and banter from the forums.

We hope you enjoy the show. And don't forget, we want your videos too!

Watch the episode here.

Haven't watched any of these before. Thought the streaming was fine tbh, didn't have to wait at all.

But in the days of 1080p as standard, even on cheapy dashcams it did seem a little blocky in image quality.

Also you need some kind of in car camera mount!!! The footage in the McLaren gave me motion sickness.

But keep up the good work guys! smile

Much better than the Hague one IMO (I've owned both).

Surely that's only good for "out the front" or over the shoulder shots. The stuff looking back at Dan needs to be mounted on the front or side windscreen, so you'd need the Hague.

Can't watch it because the audio goes silent after 5 seconds. Checked the voiume, checked the mute button, it even happens 5 seconds after i "seek" to a random location.

Would watch these videos more if they were on youtube.

I enjoyed the video - getting better all the time.

There was the comedy moment though at 1:30 of the McLaren under braking with the air brake up to the soundtrack of a fast accelerating McLaren ripping through the gears :-)

Episodes are improving each time, still some progress to be made in terms of awkwardness.

Big thanks for bringing the North Coast 500 Loop to our attention however the way Scotland is being mentioned in this video is nothing short of embarrassing, cut the smug sarcasm out and you have a reputable feature on your hands.

I don't know when this was filmed but a small tribute to the late Justin Wilson would be worth fitting in, maybe next episode.

Cheers.

Guys, The videos are getting better but you are trying too hard.

Injection of charisma wouldn't go amiss. You are concentrating too much and look awkward. It's hard to remember the facts you need to replicate though, I do understand.

Going in the right direction though. Well done so far.

PS. Put them on youtube. It's much better and native higher resolutions will help.

To be congratulated, an entire feature without mentioning Porscha.

Do speeding ticket Police avoid Woking each time a McLaren is released?

500 Miles looks good.

Nice plastic wood on the Merc centre consol.

575LT look amazing, they have finally resolved the design on from the MP12C and it looks damn good.

Such a good news website, forum etc. If you are wanting this to really take off, invest rather than dilute your good written work.

To do this properly you will need things like mounts, jibs, rigging etc etc the list goes on especially with proper sound engineering and colour correction.

A place to start might be looking at successful video bloggers, take the leap and employing one, a lot of these guys really know their stuff and it might open up a bunch of new revenue streams.

PS: The awkward presenting seems more like an early 90s computer game review...

A good effort, but could get better; sounds like a school report doesn't it?
Perhaps not such a bad analogy as the script is some what strict in its delivery.
An I jection of humour and a bit more of a relaxed attitude might help, and I can't help but agree that the in-car footage was, well, poor. I say that as I agree with a previous poster in that camera wobble in this day and age, and with the relatively cheap equipmemt available is really unacceptable.
May I also suggest that a delivery a little like Chris Harris when behind the wheel might be better; the constant 'flick down to look at the camera, then flick back up to look at the road' approach isn't necessary. A smoother approach would suffice, engaging te viewer without us wondering if you are going to drift into the path of an oncoming HGV...
