I'm going to remove my EGR on my 2007 VW Touran (140) 2.0 TDi
I'm fitting a darkside developments one, my questions are

1) where in South Wales can I have the ECU reprogrammed, to stop the "Emissions Workshop" light coming on?

2) I have had a bluefin superchips to the car, will that change if the tuner will try & change the MAP while switching the "Emissions Workshop" light off ?

3) what's the pro's & con's on removing the EGR?

Thanks

orhan

Removing egr valves apparently seriously messes up dpf regen so be careful, at work we are advised not to bypass them at all.

That engine doesn't have a DPF it was the PD170 that had them then the newer CR engines.

To get it mapped out you loose Bluefin, if you then install Bluefin again you will remove the EGR file.

Avon tuning done it, removed the EGR, the EGR cooler, took the emissions map out & also remapped it
Job done
