Not talking about the setups that use the car stereo and speakers. But there seem to be systems that use some kind of resonator pipe.

Google hasn't been as helpful as I hoped.

The setup Porsche use seems to be a pipe off the intake system.

Does it actually draw air in through the pipe?

The Mustang GT and GT86 use what I suspect are similar systems, but not sure if they actually draw air through these pipes or something else.

How would you go about fitting a setup like this to an older car?

The diaphragm in the picture shows that it cannot draw air in.

It is quite simply a mechanical speaker diaphragm put into operation when the valve in-line with it is opened by the sport button, which allows the diaphragm to resonate and amplify intake sounds..

Ta. So does the GT86 employ the same idea? And clue as to what size diaphragm is used, or where one could be sourced?
