Today is the last day with my beloved 2001 Vauxhall Corsa SXi. Selling to my girlfriends' brother.

Parting is such sweet sorrow.

Does everybody love their first car or has anybody had any absolute turds?

2001 Corsa SXi? Just you I reckon wink

Jokes aside, my first car was a properly banged up stebox Peugeot 405 estate TD in 'Aztec gold'. Every panel was severely dented (roof and bonnet included) and it looked and sounded terrible. But it was fairly reliable and big enough to get a load of my mates in, so I loved it. It's been over 10 years since I parted company with the 'Pash-wag', but there's still part of me that wishes I hadn't sent it to the scrappy when the MOT repair bill got a bit too hefty.

What are you replacing it with?

The Governor has been replaced with a 2010 Honda Civic 1.8 Si. Fair upgrade I feel.

I loved my first car, a black 1.2 (75) 16v clio dynamique. Loved the way it looked, drove and sipped fuel. Had sports seats, stiffer springs, alloys and a boot spoiler as standard. Had the usual french electrical gremlins that left me stranded a few times but i loved it. Sold it to a mate at work who loved it for a year or so more.

I still miss my first car

2000 Saxo VTR in Gold, I treated it as a workhorse and it never let me down being abused for a year, a big part of me was sad watching it drive away when I sold it.

That feeling went when I picked up my current car the next day smile

Already decided that (when time, money and space become available) a Saxo VTR/S will be a track car for me, would definitely have to be in Gold again!

No, was glad mine went...a steaming pile of merde!

I'll try and find some pics when I can but it was a black Peugeot 206 independence so very basic but a very good interior colour scheme.

I got it at 24k miles/2 years old, when sold 18 months and 20k miles later it was shot having been heavily rear ended (twice) but also mechanically shot! Was needing another gearbox (I had 2 on warranty), it had a weird electrical issue where it cut out for no reason, including twice in L3 of the M25! And other niggles including no working central locking.

Was so glad when u "upgraded" to a 1.7 Astra...
