Does it work if you go direct to the article from the home page - that was the conclusion last time this issue was raised recently

I think it does, but it's a different control on outside the forum page. And chances are, if you're in the forum, then you will visit the article from seeing it in GG.

I agree but I can't see a fix coming short term - seems there are other issues above it
