I'm sure this was on the forum not long ago? A serious project car but as we know getting very rare indeed. Anyone brave enough to take it on?

Has to be worth £700 all day long. If that was a 280 Capri it would be starting at three grand in the same condition.

It's an early one too, no 76. Come on, someone has to save it.

This is a far superior car than the 280 Capri. It is a rare, hand build quality car built by TVR. The problem is, this car looks too far gone to have a cost effective rebuild. The chassis is shabby, the interior is shabby, it needs a mechanical rebuild, and some glass need replacing and possibly a respray. When you think that parts are expensive and hard to get hold of, a rebuild would work out too expensive. This car can only be saved by someone with a passion for this particular model who can afford to throw money at it without taking its final value into account. Somehow, I doubt there are too many of those around. Yes, it would be good to save but punters tend to shy away when they look at it realistically. I would love to own a FHC Wedge but I can't do the rebuild myself. If I was to get someone to take on the rebuild for me, the quote for parts and labour would probably run into five figures plus.

Certainly would need a lot of work...Shame really as there are already some hard to get parts actually still on it!..Outriggers definitely need doing but that doesn't mean the rest of it is shyte...Interior doesn't need that much..Shame that some tw@t smashed the rear quarters...curse....

Im sure No.2 was in worst condition...Certainly was under the bonnet...Although the underside wasn't that bad considering it was outside for 15 years....

Would anyone have the glass to repair this car ?

If not how much would it cost to replace it or does anyone know where one is being broken ?

One quarter window came up on Fleebay a year back, but not seen any since. Front and rear windscreens can still be bought, but I do wonder if the rear and quarters can be gained other than from breakage. The that begs the question are there any being broken?

Interested to see if glass can be found or made for a project such as this. sonar

You could just cut a polycarbonate replacement until one turns up. Not a major problem that. Mind you it would be a while before you need it!

Now that's a shame. There's a decent car there waiting to be revived.

Judging by whats in the background of the first photo looks like the chassis etc will be used as a donor.

On the same line's ish.
I have had my 1983 280i fhc for 12 years now and don't know what its worth?
Any ideas?
Brief run down:
Full respray 8 years ago in original Ford radiant red (only 500 miles ago)
Pin strips put back on by pro
New rad
Every brake and suspension part new (I mean every thing) Gaz golds ect
All wish bones and swinging arms powder coated
New fuel lines
new brake lines
refurb box
short shift 5 speed
massive history from new
Chassis perfect still has original stove enamel in grey (no under seal covering stuff)
Silicone hoses in black to look original
I spent a lot of money to get it back to better than new but a change of circumstance has seen me sell my Tamora and it looks like Wedge will have to follow.
Any thoughts on price before I put her on the Ads page?

Cheers

For a car of that age and condition i wouldn't ask less than 5K...Maybe nearer 6....

There is a very nice immaculate looking one for sale right now at a dealers for 5k. If yours is an exception like you say, it should be worth more. Also, it is worth what anyone is willing to pay for it. If someone sees it and falls in love with it, then it could be worth a lot more. Just my opinion.

Looking to find her another home as I don't really want to sell her.
Only two jobs left are a slit in the driver's seat which apart from that shows no wear as does rest of the interior, original carpets are also fade free unlike the chim I had.
The other job is a slight sag in the head lining.
