So I was in the middle of checking plugs when two of the eight ignition leads basically came away in two bits. Leaving the metal end still attached to the plug. In tide me over till next week are there any other ignition leads that would work with the engine? A long shot I know but I didn't expect them to be this brittle...any help appreciated.

The coil end is a fairly standard item, used on some Rovers I think, and some french cars.

Not sure on specific models though.

Plug end obviously generic too. So you should be able to find some long leads that will get you running again.

Or can you shove the old lead back together at all ?

Or some of the usual sources should have some leads knocking about

I got a spare set lying here from when I swapped mine over not long after I got the car but although I'm closer than most its still more that a good 2hr drive to Aberdeen from here. Guess you'll just need to wait on the fish and see what they can get you.
