A link if it lets me:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lotus-Elise-S2-190BHP-1-...

I suspect this car has already been round the houses and I have no personal interest, just thought it was quite a jumbled combination of factors:

- Low production numbers / collectible status
- Flippy, evidently difficult to source / match paint
- 40k miles (some on track) on an arguably fragile engine
- Damaged / repaired Cat C (apparently mostly because of the cost of the paint; which would surely be more likely to make it Cat D?)

It's up for £14k; seems like a bit of a swine to value. Certainly too risky for my conservative tastes, but might be of interest to some smile

I've heard the "33" build number banded about before, but have never really been interested enough in this varient to investigate further.

Didn't pick up on the MAF - not too familiar with the K-series tbh. I'm assuming the standard engines run MAP while the VPHDs run ITBs and rely on throttle position and engine speed to feed the management?

So.. it's Cat C, has been tracked, has an arguably fragile engine, needs a respray and is being sold by someone who apparently hasn't had it long / doesn't know much about it.

Looks like a hefty set of spuds will be one prerequisite for the buyer, then biggrin
