We are planning a small revamp of the lounge and I'm after a new TV unit and some kind of chest to use as a table. Something like this and this.

Does anyone know anywhere we could actually go and look at stuff like this, or have an online retailer that supplies good quality furniture of this type (ie solid and well made, not cheap veneer/plywood that the main retailers seem to be full of).

Any recommendations gratefully received.

We've got a sheesham wood media unit and also a coffee table and nest of side tables.

Oak furniture land definitely had some similar when i popped in recently, although from when I bought these, I realised there were loads of different shades, with many different units having completely different colours even if they're from the same supplier, so definitely try to see before you buy!

Many thanks for the suggestions and comments so far. We've had a look in Oakfurnitureland and while I like their stuff (which feels pretty solid and decent quality) they don't have exactly the type of thing we are after.

Any other suggestions welcome, especially for somewhere that might do a chest similar to my second link in the op, but in a darker wood/stain.

May be able to sort out a TV unit but the chest seems quite unusual for a table.

Don't think I can say who I work for.

Try looking for a blanket box, they seem to match the chest fairly well

I bought our tv cabinet from these guys https://www.trendy-products.co.uk/section.php/178/...

Their customer service is very good and you can customise the finish/feet/glass colour etc. Think it took about 5 weeks to arrive but very pleased with the quality (it comes assembled)

The front slides out to reveal two deep storage drawers

I think the Dakota range was originally sold by Next. I bought one a few years ago, also made from mango wood.

This is where i got them from - http://www.tradefurniturecompany.co.uk/dakota-furn...
