Selling models on ebay - any way to post batteries?

Just don't tell them it has batteries in the parcel ?
Chancey. You may get lucky - I did when ebaying an old Mario watch/game and inadvertently left the battery in. I got into a bit of a flap after posting and realising, and a bit of research suggested that Royal Mail routinely destroy stuff found to contain batteries. I spoke with a friend who works in a sorting office and he told me that most - but not all - things going by airmail (which a lot of domestic post does, these days) are routinely X-rayed.
I wouldn't want to try it again and risk losing the goods being posted.
OP, my research at the time suggested that some couriers will accept such a package if you tell them when consigning it. The main concern seems to be about Lithium batteries rather than NiCd ones.

I run a small model paints business and frankly anything involving hazardous goods is a world of pain when it comes to postage if they know what's inside.
Parcel Force do actually know what the rules are around this, so if you want to do it above board, I'd suggest giving them a ring.
Pretty much all retailers of batteries will simply post them to you in a Jiffy bag. I've bought lots of NiMHs and LiPos this way.
