Wasn't secret, more invite only. Why cloak and daggers, organisers first event so didn't want to be swamped and then disappoint.

Wasn't personally there But from what Ive been told, there was quite a few negative responses of an over hyped boring event with expensive food and not much else. Some didn't like the fact it was just sat in a car park/static for a few hours.

Any others opinions?

There were test drives in two 650s, and passenger rides in a zenos and radical. Autoglym did a live detail. Tea/coffee/biscuits/cordial were free. Paul bailey and mark blundell mingled and were happy to talk. All HyperCars were doors open. Plenty of reps from all the sponsors to talk too. Ice cream van was cheap. Lots of supercars on display.

No doughnuts or burnouts. Runs to or from the event up to individuals. Come and go as you pleased.

Having attended and organised many events over the last 4 years, not sure this would rank as overhyped or boring... Most meets are static displays. Tbh, my boys and I are bored of the cars themselves, how many times can seeing a p1/918/laf be entertaining for example, my enjoyment came from talking to people...

thanks to marque 1, autostore and mohan for organising thumbup

sometimes a chat and some engine staring makes a welcome break from the usual 24x7 hookers and coke

Who cares!

really, would they have made it special? Would you have really come for the chance to talk to them. Theo is in business with blundell, sure his dna is genuine. Others may have been put off by the weather.

Comment re food, the hog roast was served in quality buns with fresh salad. Falafels were available. At 6.50 a pop, when you get 12mpg getting there, its neither here or there really.... at Wilton you can pay proper bucks for an exclusive cold buffet whilst your car is displayed for free to the paying public.

Sure she wasn't there, I'm sure I would have bumped into them...

Was very loud in that colour that aston, v12s, think it was a wrap.

Are you referring to the Barbie Pink DBS Volante? Its a wrap and being used for cannonball charity run next month to protect the paint. Is white underneath I believe.

I wasn't there, but this is very much what I think, the club itself allows people mingle with like minded people and owners, and Im sure most if not all have made new friends out of static meets or if you're a member SCD biggrin

For what it's worth I thought the event was fine. Personally a bit of a trek for what it was, a breakfast meet, and maybe a bit over hyped with 'celeb' names bandied about but as always some great cars to drool over and a couple of helicopters thrown in too smile
