Would go for Quaife ATB LSD, available through Quaife website. Watched too many videos of hydratak equipped vehicles spinning for no reason, so this was my first upgrade. Very predictable and stable rear end, safety for the road and faster round the track. Only drawback is combined parts + fitting cost.

I do quite a few track days and the Hydratrac is fine, if your is spinning up an inside wheel then I suggest it is faulty in which case a refurb is in order.

i think this type of diff is always likely to spin inside wheel a little?

is a refurb expensive?

A few hundred quid I think, cant remember exactly but £600 sounds about right. Grantura Engineering did mine and put some stronger springs in it to make it lock a bit harder.

By the time this photo was taken I was back at full throttle, no wheel slip and you can see not shortage of rear grip, this is not on slicks either.

Look at the 21st photo front wheel off the deck and the inside rear lifting.

You need a traditional diff for spirited driving. The hyrdtrac was an awful thing. I had one in mine when I bought it and it was rubbish on the track. Got rid of it pretty quickly and the car had much more grip as a result.

A Quaif ATB. Is the normal route to go.

I do drive my Cerbera rather hard, she spends almost as much time on the track as she spends on the road and the Hydra Trac has never let me spin an inside wheel even when it is half off the ground.

Yeah I'd be interested - what's the difference in the mechanics of the Gripper vs the ATB?

The atb is clockwork, the gripper conventional plated.
