I need image help....I am an idiot

Hello gurus!

I am afraid another idiot question/help.

I have a logo, but when saved it looks like this:



But I want it to be saved as just the circular image, NOT as the square with the white corner sections.

I only have basic paint and that doesn't seem to work.

Can anyone help/advise please?

You need to save it as a .png which supports transparency, where as formats such as .jpg do not and thus fill it in as white.

How was it originally made? If a designer did it for you, make sure you get proper artwork files (one or more of AI, EPS, PSD) - this is only 720px at 96dpi so not really suitable for print. Best to get everything now than to try to get it at some point in the future.
