A friend asked if I could take some photos of her horses, so after many weeks of trying to find time, I went today. And it rained and rained! I gave up before my camera packed up! So here are a few pics of a bedraggled horse!

I'm not a huge fan of horses but this fella certainly has won a place in my heart.
My Dad's Irish hunter Robert.
The back story is that my Dad suffered a stroke a few years ago and then the Mother needed to go into hospital for some lady bits surgery.
I was drafted in to look after Robert during her recuperation.
Now Robert is a very chilled out and at times quite a surprising animal to be around.
They've got him trained to pee in a bucket, and to be honest he's the cleanest horse my Mum say's they've ever owned, he always dumps in the back corner of his box.
Now you have to remember that I'm not a horsey person at all, but after a few weeks of being the only person going into his box morning noon and night with food and doing pick-outs you get to know each other a bit.
He always showed an interest in me picking out and would often assume the pee stance giving me an opportunity to nip out of the stable and grab the bucket, catching a pee makes such a difference in the amount of work required keeping his paper box clean.
Anyway, one evening I went in with the bag and gloves for a pick out and he assumed pee stance, I dropped my kit and went to fetch the bucket, arse it was at the other end of the yard, buy the time I got back to his stable door he was trying to clean up by himself....

Sorry for the poor quality, this was taken at around 9pm on a cold and dark winters night, crappy camera phone and I didn't want to disturb him.
I'll try an gather a few pics of him in action, there are a few kicking around of him in full attack mode at some of the biggest Irish banks and ditches I've ever seen.
