I'm sure some of you on here use m5board.com so hoping someone can help. I tried to join m5board.com a few weeks back and have created my account and registered via the mail it generated but I still can't post as its waiting for admin activation.
I've tried mailing the contact us address and checked all my junk/spam but nothing, so it seems I can't post until this is sorted. Can anyone help with mailing the admin or something?
Much appreciated.

I'm a board member on there. They have lots of membership requests and are backlogged.

I can post your question on there if you like if you want to type it out on here?

Thanks, I was only going to post an intro as I recently bought an E61 M5 which I know are rare in RHD, so thanks for the offer but no need. I'll just wait and hope I don't need to post anything else in the mean time.
Cheers.

It took forever for my registration to be sorted. I think I messaged them a couple of times to push it through.

I'm the E60 moderator there. I'll poke the Admins (they work for Vertical Scope/AutoGuide, we are unpaid volunteers) and ask them to process the queue.

Years ago when Gustav owned the forum there was a manual moderation queue to prevent spammers. When he sold the forum to AG/VS, as I understand, there was an agreement in place that they would continue manual processing.

Recently they implemented some "experiments" with automatic approval and automated spam prevention. To call it a failure would be an extreme understatement. I spent a half to nearly an hour a day flagging and deleting spam. We finally convinced them to revert to the previous means and I have the feeling they are letting the queue languish either out of laziness or spite for us having placed additional work back on the paid vice unpaid workforce.

If any thing comes up in the meantime, feel free to email me.

Cheers,
Jim

Sorry to bump an old thread - I've also tried to sign up to M5Board and after waiting weeks have had an email saying my "registration at BMW M5 Forum and M6 Forums did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted."

I'm not sure why this is or what details I'm being judged against exactly - do I need to provide pictures of my M5? Fingerprints? Recent dental records?

I've tried to message the administrators via the link given but just get an error message. Is there anyone still here who is an admin or can give somebody a nudge for me please? My attempted username is the same as here smile

I used to be quite active when I had an E39 M5 and have checked in again now that I have an F10 M5 and it appears to have gone downhill with very little activity. Not sure I would bother if I were you.

Fair enough. BMW5 seems pretty quiet as well - guess I'll stick to here unless there's anywhere else worth a try?
