I was reading the comments page in Metro this morning and almost all were saying she should not be wearing something so revealing. But surely if she had a baby with her everyone would be fine with her breastfeeding but oh no the bra is too revealing.

Er, I'm sure I shouldn't have to point this out, but feeding a baby is a necessity, while one's choice of clothing is, ultimately, a choice.

Is it not a choice to have a baby or not?

Private establishment enforces dress code. Hardly news, is it?

Fairly sure if I rolled up in my boxers I'd be arrested, so I'm not clear on what the issue is here.

Do breasts offend you? How sad that someone can be scared of something so natural.

No, thats the point im trying to get at. Everyone is fine with a breast but wear a sports bra and eveyone is up in arms. How is the first fine and the second not.

Social convention/acceptance. Some people are conservative, and that is ok. Not everything like this needs rationalising to the nth degree.

Yes is it. But, once one has aquired a baby, feeding it or not is not a choice.

Women who breastfeed in public places generally do so discreetly, and others in the vicinity politely look the other way.

Going out in public in your underwear is not discreet.

It's all about good manners really.

Its not underwear its gym clothing. She is a personal trainer its what she wears for work every day. It covers quite a bit compared to some of the bikini tops I have seen worn on hot days in towns.

"Punished for being fit" - er no - asked to leave Costa for not wearing a complete set of clothes.

So what if she wears it for doing her job - can a stripper turn up in her work attire?

The world would be a better place if they did.

I suppose its basically about as to whether its agreeable to others to visit an eatery in your underwear.

I can understanfd that excessive flesh on show can be off putting whilst indulging in one's nosebag.

I am sick and tried on this sort of thing, more women should be allowed to wear what they want, the skimpier the better as long as they are fit, fatties should cover up.

It would make everyones day better.

It is the shops perogative to serve who they wish to and not those they do not wish to.

That said if she had bought the drink dressed like that then they should not have asked her to leave IMO.

On the whole issue it's a waste of ink over a non storey. I find women of a certain plus size in leggings to be one of the most vile sights known to man, I think the image of that lady in her sports bra is just fine, nothing indecent there at all - to my eyes.

Still she got to go and have a drink elsewhere so all is well with the World and we all now know that the chance of seeing afittie in Costa is even lower today than it was last week. Which is quite some achievement.

Personally if an active fitness hottie walked in in her bra I would mind, but then I am a bit of a perv.

I can see why people would take offence and I think it is fair enough for them to ask her to dress apporpriately.

I was on holiday once and there was a bar by the pool. I was doing a bit of sun bathing, tanning my cheeks. If I wanted to go to the bar I put my shirt back on. Someone said to me "Why do you keep putting your shirt on to go the bar?" I said "Its good manners dear boy". Doesn't matter if I had the body of Greek god (I don't) no-one needs to see that.

No, it really is a choice, I guess.

But not one you'd be able to make for long, I accept.
