Hi All,

Next time you are under the bonnet could you please look at the temp gauge sensor and tell the colour of the band around the connector on the 2.9 engine?

Thanks in advance.

My ECT Sensor is original Ford and is light grey. 1989 S2.
It has a P/N F2AF-12A648-AA on the plastic piece and 3B08A stamped into the brass part.
Available on eBay if you search the P/N above.

...... but thinking about your question - if you mean the temperature sending unit which connects to the dashboard temperature gauge, then mine is mustard (looks like a very old yellow !) colour. P/N is 334-H (12V H9), search for Temperature Sender TS-334 on google/eBay.
Looks like this ....but not black on the end !

Quick update,

It's not the standard ford (green) one!

It reads even hotter with that one.

Anyone want a green temp sensor!!

Sorry to be a bit late in getting back on this one Bill. I would however confirm Tim's advice above. Mine has a brown insulator and is stamped (on the flange of the hex) 334-H, and looks identical to the one he has pictured.
(sorry I didnt make it to the regional meeting, remind me next month please!)
