VW Passat winter wheels and tyres.
Discussion
First off, anyone got any for sale?
If not, the reason I'm on here is that a mate of mine is coming skiing with us this year and we're driving down in two cars. My A6 and his Passat. I've already got wheels and tyres, but he's not bought in to the whole 'winter tyre' thing, but wanted to get some.
IIRC, the PCD is the same for A6s and Passats, but what about offsets and wheel sizes? My A6 won't fit anything less than 17" due to clearance issues, but does anyone know the correct specs for Passats as I said I'd help him try and find a set.
Thanks in advance.

Apart from stating the obvious (eBay) Tyremen can do you a set of alloys and tyres for about £700. They will be used wheels though.

The safest way is to ring VW parts dept with the VIN number and get them to quote you the wheel sizes available for the car.
You could also look on the fuel filler cap which will probably have the recommended winter (ie. M+S) tyre sizes.
Alternatively, just buy another set of the same wheels ie. same part number...then you'll know they will fit.
