Buying a 2nd Electric guitar
Discussion
Whilst I'm toying between buying a replacement piano or buying another electric guitar to complement my Tele, I initially found myself wanting a Hagstrom Viking but then came round to the idea of an Epiphone 339 pro. Checked out the reviews and videos and really liked the tone of it.
However, I played it briefly and as I've not before played a Gibson/Epiphone before, I found the neck not as near as comfortable as my Classic Vibe Squier Tele. Is it a case of just coming round to a different profile? It felt like playing my acoustic! Didn't win me over with feel, even if I liked the tone.
What would you do??

Are you any were near a large Dawsons esque music shop? I would suggest going in and picking a few different guitars to try.
Gibson/Epiphone aren't the only people to make this style of guitar, I am sure I have seen Gretsch and Ibanez guitars that have a similar style (possibly others too). They will probably all feel different and hopefully one will suit?

In the end, bought myself a new digital piano instead! I came to the conclusion that at present, I love playing my Tele and it suits for what I want from it. If I bought something not as playable it would spend more time in the gig bag than in my hands. Did see a beautiful Yamaha acoustic guitar though....
When i was buying my les paul i tried a few, some where the frets were really high, some where they were squared of and to me at least really uncomfortable and the one i bought which is a deluxe feels quite similar to my telecaster.
I know you have the piano now but they have some amazing deals on at the moment so may as well get the guitar as well.
And if your going to allow budget creep you may as well do it properly and get the gibson version.
Hth!!

It is mostly a case of adjusting to it. It took a while when I first got a Les Paul, but I've always leaned towards strats/jags etc.
I still love playing the Les Paul though. At the end of the day it is all subective, and not all guitars feel the same, even if they are based on the same model.
