He had the new exhaust to test today, should gain a few more hp.

Iddon on a proper bike and team could be a real threat by the looks of it.

I was going to nip down today, but got tied up with a few things unfortunately. Told you Druids was a great place to watch Brookes, especially when he goes the other side of the white line mid-corner!

I know Martin Halsall and had a look at the email that Christian sent him after a recent test at Cadwell, I was astounded at the detail and understanding of the bike. It almost kept us away from our pints for a few minutes discussing it.

I was there on Weds and Martin nearly had my van liveried up!

He just looked so committed round there, absolutely amazing to watch, there were a few damp patches still in the morning so I think they were avoiding the very inside edge of druids. Although they weren't afraid of wheelying along the kerbs!
Crazy skillful nutters!

I mean the edge on the outside of the track is heading towards the barriers and away from the circuit. He takes the first apex, runs out then back for the second, but he runs all the way out amd beyond the white line.

He is an epic rider. His demeanour seems to have changed now he's nailing that tidy blonde and got a bike capable of winning. It's his to lose this year IMO.

i though he;d been with her for the last few years?

I'm still not ruling shakey out although it is looking a bit desperate.

I think he has, but he was a right tosser a few years back and then started warming up over the last few years. Brookes must have a huge podium points haul advantage over the others now after this run of wins.

Beats me why cresent haven't snaffled him up for there wsbk run next year with the r1, surely brookes has the most superbike rider knowledge?

He was going to go to WSB a few years back and I reckon he'll be pretty pissed off that he hasn't been taken. He was very vocal about not being picked for Suzuka after all the development work that he's done. I think he may be in there though, he went to Germany to run in their Superbikes series a few weeks back just to get more data for Yamaha.

SMR were rumoured to be going next year with Aprilia and that's a pretty good bike based on what it's doing around the globe.

Yikes! That's impressive then and I hadn't noticed, he hits the second apex too, isn't that a weird line though but it must work as it looked faster than most round there.

How old is he now?

It's the right line at their pace, use all the track and a bit more. No idea how old he is, early 30s at a guess.

Yes I bet it is, at my pace I could pretty much run a line around the middle of the track haha.

Do you think he may have missed the boat regarding stepping up? Surely a good few years in him yet.

He'd be fine in WSB, he's not going to get a MotoGP ride, but got at least 5 years left at the sharp end.
