Great, another SUV, crossover thing to clutter the school car park!

edit. And it looks less interesting than an FX50, which would be where my money would go wink

Looks fine for it's market but has been previous said please give us an XE/new XF estate preferably with 4WD.

Wow. I think that video is awesome.

And I really like the car too.

Silly name though.

Very nice. Profile is very RR Sport, unsurprisingly.

I liked the vid; pausing it at intervals gives a useful idea about the underpinnings of V6, AWD and Jaguars new front and rear suspensions. The interior remains a blank; I hope they do better than we have seen on the XE and XF.

Not a fan, but seeing as I don't really like SUVs that's not surprising.

Assuming I did want an SUV, what would persuade me to buy this over a RR Sport? I haven't really been paying much attention, is it actually a full size SUV or is it a mid size crossover type thing like the Macan and Q5?

Anyone notice the V lump as it was being 'assembled'? Hurrah for a proper engine upfront.
Yep I did, one of the reasons I went for a Touareg over a Disco Sport, proper engine for the size of the vehicle.

I've seen one testing in Rome with all of the swirly camo on. The proportions looked OK. It'll never make my jaw drop like the F type coupe does every time I see one. Hope that Jag sell lots though!

Just what's needed to go off-roading in downtown Shanghai or wherever that urban location is.
The Chinese love SUV hence the back drop and the reason the car is being built at all, without China the motor industry in its present state is FUBAR.

I hope the Chinese keep buying for JLR's sake

i wish I could get excited my such a product, but I am getting desensitised to such offerings from JLR. The flowery language of fashion seems to be their prime objective rather than a driving machine. Big wheels? Tick. Twin exhausts? Tick. Red callipers on the performance version? Tick. Yes, I think I have heard and seen it all before. Its a new car, but its anything really new. Just metal in a new shape. It does not re-write anything. I am sorry, but its a fashion statement trying to fulfil some need for attention of your more than average affluent person first, and a driving machine second. Its a nice shape, so well done Mr Mac, but other than, yawn. No doubt the school car park will be full of them as an alternative to Evoques. It will have a massive options list for things like a heated steering wheel and pygmy skin leather gear knob, but so what? At least Tesla (mentioned in earlier post) are taking a fresh and futuristic approach. This...its just another diesel bandwagon.

I predict they will sell bucket-loads of these, provided the global economy doesn't shït itself in the mean time.

I kinda like it but wonder why they would even bother when they have the Land Rover brand. When are they going to start producing Land Rover saloon cars???

You can always make suv's look alright with 22" alloys. They'll all be chundering around with a 4pot diesel and 18" wheels of course, and look suitably ridiculous. Zero interest.
