They seem to be fetching very strong money now! I have been offered more than that but mine only has 27k on the clock, plus areo kit, sport chrono wheels......and mine is a manual!

Beautiful cars, mine will never be sold and will be passed down to my boys!

The hooning this weekend was legendary!! My cousin drove it and nearly shat himself....he only used WOT in thrid and up to 5,000 rpm!

Whoa! £62k for a tip with 69000 miles is strong money. What would that make my 68000 mile manual 'S' worth? Perhaps I could swap it for a 918 and a sack of uncut diamonds... ;-)

I saw that and thought therein lies a story.

Given these cars are not known for engine issues and certainly not at that sort of mileage. Of course it could be looked on as a positive; the engine now being fine, but you have to wonder what initiated the strip down.

Wow, can get some very nice 997 Turbo's with much lower mileage (if that matters) in that price bracket.

Easily spent.... only needs an oil leak or two for the engine to be removed, and various parts renewed and replaced.... anyone that shudders at a bill like this should think twice about owning any turbo frankly.

£8k seems a bit high just for dropping the lump to fit a few gaskets and washers IMHO. (Having had all the timing cover bolts washers recently renewed on mine.)

Got to be a chancer.

Reasonable miles, concerning story with the engine, messed with (remap etc). It doesn't sound like a concours car which is surely how it's priced.

It's a 40K car max as a private sale isn't it?

Edited to add : 4 previous owners and last service at an independent. A nice car no doubt but nothing like the advertised price.

Well... given the availability of Turbo S cars, I'd say that it is more like £45-50K... but not £62!

Totally agree, that's more like sensible money, 47k is about right
for that mileage and condition now, asking 62k for a similar car is
nonsense. On a personal note I don't really get off on all the Silver, nor
do I like the Tip cars as much as a manual as its a diluted experience
though appreciate they have their place, also I never got hung up on the
whole S thing, having owned a few 996 Ts for me the standard car with
the standard turbos with a mild map and essential manual gearbox is all
the 911 Turbo anyone would ever need and paying a massive premium for
anything else is money wasted IMO. The right remap will offer up 480 490
horses with ease and under no stress, and that wipes the floor with the
X50, if power be your thing.

That said this dealer would probably be asking a lot more if the car was
manual...

PCT car - how does no servicing between 2010 and 2014 constitute a 1st class service record ?

The history on it is crap. 2007 - 2009 it did 20k with no oil change,
it may have been changed but no stamp though that alone may out some people
of though it may have got overlooked if the rest of the servicing had been exemplary.
The Turbo has 2 year service intervals though you want to see a yearly visit
and yearly spend on any Porsche, on a Turbo double important..

I thought the service interval was in fact 20K / 2 years?
