Just had a reply to a tweet I sent to EAStarWars

"The Star Wars Battlefront Beta is open to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Origin for PC players. There is no need to register."

So it looks like you just download it and play, can't wait to try it out

Yeah when I couldn't find it on the PSN (went right after reading this thread) I did a quick search which said 8-12 October beta release....

I am really looking forward to this, to the point that it's the only game I have ever pre-ordered.

Hope it's as good as I wish it is, it might be a bit too Halo, but fk it getting to fly the falcon will be amazing

Pre loaded this on the PC last night. I was expecting it to be crap with all the talk of no server lists, no Iron sights etc.

I am having great fun! The game play is just fun! They haven't tried anything clever with it like the battlefield games and it works. I can run around blasting wildly like Han Solo

Music, excellent. Atmosphere, cracking.

First time I was met over a trench by Darth was ace and of course I died, but grinning

However, it feels like a bit of a meat grind. Kill....die...repeat. Even the objectives are a bit overly repetitive. Maybe other game modes in the final product will being more variety.

Just having the noises from Star Wars is enough for me to enjoy it.

Also some groovy toys - calling in air strikes and the AT-ST etc Be interesting to see what other unlocks there are in time.

Downloading on PS4 now, should be done when I get home.

I really want to like it, as I love Star Wars, but I know deep down it will just be Battlefield with a Star Wars skin, and Battlefield bores me to death :/

I probably won't pick it up, unless it really blows me away. I'm just wrapping up MGS5 ready for Fallout 4 anyway.

But I'm happy to be proven wrong. I just wish they'd make a proper Star Wars RPG again - KoToR 3 please!

Only played it so far on single player (PS4), where you get 6 different waves of attack from the enemy which are very easy to defeat. All over in a few minutes. Maybe I ought to renew Playstation Plus and play the online multiplayer?

Only managed to download this overnight so not had a play yet. I'm interested to know how the Stormtroopers are as characters? I read an article yesterday that stated the devs have added 'Stormtrooper aim' for them. Quite an interesting character flaw to work around.

I've seen the videos, I think the stereotype only holds up for the offline AI Stormtroopers. Certainly when I was online playing as one, the guns were accurate, if not unusually suffer from recoil ( I thought they were laser weapons? ).

You need a second PS4.. Imagine the hassle when the full game comes out and you can't play it (or Fallout 4).
