Bringing a 1971 Hako GT-R into the UK in the next few weeks. It's ready to board a ship in Tokyo. I'm going to document the process and restoration so will share some updates here.

Will do. I'm also "writing" about the experience on a new blog. Any issues posting the link?

Underside needs a bit of work but recent pics showing its in fairly good nick. We're still not 100% sure whether it's the original KPGC10 glare silver or not (we think not).

Epic machines, I did a blog of how importing worked when I did my Skyline. It's very exciting except for the wait... oh the wait... I tracked my ship and it took forever. Then when it got to northern Europe it visited every damn port except Southampton!! frown So annoying. Have fun with yours will be watching with interest. Will you be doing any shows next year?

Yes I know and it's not even on a boat yet! I certainly will do some shows once it's ready, but haven't looked into anything yet.

Here's the story. I must state I'm not a writer and it's a bit of a slow build, but feel free to have read. I'll have plenty of pics to add in coming weeks.

'Jap Chat' is a bit of quiet backwater, mostly concerned with later stuff.

Can I respectfully suggest you at least open a parallel thread on the 'Classic Cars & Yesterday's Heroes' forum section on Pistonheads? The S20-engined cars are - I think - extremely interesting and quite exotically-specced for their time, and deserve a closer look and wider recognition.

I've signed up for your blog. Good luck!
