New bike... a bit different...
Discussion
Hi all,
Well very excited to say this arrived in my garage today... have been watching it since Ducati announced they were getting Customs created for the Scrambler launch.
Created by Holographic Hammer, its designer/creator Sylvain Berneron and his brother Florent for me at least, created an amazing machine here, and it fell into that category of "must have this in my life!"
Its one hell of a spec:
Showa forks
Rotobox Carbon Rims
Beringer 4D Front brakes (thats 8 pads on the disks, pull the lever "gently")
Werkes Slip On
Rizoma goodness sprinkled all over it...
And that lovely Cognito Rear loop with integrated LED lights...
and they managed to drop the weight of the bike to just 147kgs!!! Its so beautifully finished...
Sylvain himself dropped it over himself today, and what an awesome guy he is as well, could have talked to him for days, let alone the hours we actually had (the Eurotunnel problem today was not helpful to his journey)
Super excited to have secured it and looking forward to some nice days to get it out on the road..

i like the look, the front /back symetry of the frame.
looks like it needs more exhaust to stop people thinking youre a fag on a harley.
i dont know why but i hate those wheels
my guess is its going to be great fun
where do the rear lights and number plate go?
do they spoil the look or not?
in short we need more pictures!

Rear lights are integrated into rear loop, will get more "me" pics with custard tomorrow... there's a tonne of pics of it here... http://www.bikeexif.com/hh-ducati-scrambler
it makes a good noise as well this was its promo video when they launched it... took it for a spin earlier... its loud... https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=1&v=-BSVkI3Ds8... can't believe I am lucky enough to have this one off bike...!
unconventional is what they were going for. the wheels will be a cause for consternation for some, but in the flesh it actually works... but bear in mind this was a cafe racer weight exercise... with tech... check out Sylvain's S383 project... he is thinking way ahead of the curve... it is stupidly fast! i mean Diavel fast with half the BHP... it actually shocked me earlier...
