My first thought was this image.

Imagine the irony when I saw where the first hit for it came from: http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/oct/...

Tory strategic politics lesson 101 - remind people of the old days, it was better in the old days, if they're thinking of the old days they're not paying attention to being fked and the party cronies taking their money.

8138 posts, Matt. 8138. The law of averages suggests at least one should be something other than a baseless assertion, egregious misrepresentation, straw man or non-sequitur.

And yet.

I'd hoped your witticisms would be on another level to your political nous and understanding of economics.

I suppose they are, if not in the way I'd anticipated.

Theresa May, the most incompetent, inept, devious, untruthful Home Secretary in living memory (and that's saying something )

A Home Secretary that avoids interviews like the plague. At least she's consistent with her 'nothing to do wiv me guv' claims. Six years in the post and apparently none of the many failings have anything to do with the decisions she made.

Funny that in that time it also appears that none of the failings in the Police Force have been their fault either.

The two blameless parties deserve eachother.

I have quite absurdly low expectations of the quality of his posts, and yet somehow he still manages to fail to reach them.

The only thing you get for less is less.

Immigration, UK Border Agency, Prison Service, Criminal Justice System, Coast Guard and many more. All on their knees and none of it the fault of May (Apparently)

So, just to recap.

One side says Teresa can do no wrong.

One side says that the Police can do no wrong.

Is it not perhaps fair to say that they are both doing quite a bad job with what little that they have and that both should stop sniping at eachother and get on with doing all they can with what little they have.

Same old, same old. Anything that happens with the force that is bad is the fault of the politicians, anything good is inspite of them. It's as fruitless as saying it is all the fault of the Police.

If only the Police Force could put to one side the desire of the top ranks to play politics and try to work with a government for a change, rather than fail to screw more money out of them and distance themseleves further tand further.

You're kind of missing the point that it's not just the Police Force she's utterly screwed up. Or are you just ignoring that to suit your agenda.

Woaaaaah, don't even go there. Suggesting to Elroy that coppers are less than perfect? We'll have a right fillibuster on our hands.

Good job for you can't be arrested for such utterances - you'd probably fall down the stairs in the single story jail or something.

She was in an interview on the radio today.

This tends to refute your statement.
