Good to see a few e36s on here. Keep them coming. Love mine! Closely followed by Bully B's Evo. The gap would be bigger now I've rebuilt diff and put APs on! Ha ha!

I think so, well looked after but is quite stone chipped on the front and has a 20p size rust bubble on one rear wheelarch, so will be getting a full respray soon. Mechanically sound but even better now all hoses on engine replaced, vanos overhauled and front suspension stripped and painted. Probably spent around £1k so far.

I'm not particularly interested in future values myself (all I know is that I'll lose less on a 20 year old classic / enthusiast car than any new Focus, Astra, Mondeo etc.) but I do think there's a distinct possibility that E36's will double in value over 5 years (apart from mine as I paid too much for it!). Firstly, there are so few of them left (think someone said recently that there are more Escort Cosworths left than E36 M3's). There's probably a couple of dozen or so on PH or ebay at present, by the time you choose the model you want, the bodyshape, the colour, the mileage, your budget etc, you're typically left with one or two. Secondly, they're absolutely mint. I know mine's a late model but not that different to an early model which must have been brilliant back in 1992. I see now why so many have really high mileages.......

Bespoke Sachs Formula Matrix dampers, S54 with Vanos delete, 15cdv6 cage, Motec M800 and Motec dash, air jacks etc etc. You could say it's properly sorted!

I sold this the first time around due to a slow market and lack of garage space.

I then had to sell it for my neighbour who bought it off me initially as he didn't have the permission from his Mrs to buy it in the first place
biggrin

I'm going to kick myself with its worth £15,000 in a few years time

And the only picture I have together of the two BMW M cars I owned

This is my 3.2 Saloon, picking the correct wheels up for it on Tuesday evening, slowly making it right for me, Paid under 3k for it, it had had a re-trim (gutted its had this, should be lemon but now grey and black), engine rebuild (by a proper race engine builder), cams, exhaust, map, stereo upgrades and a respray before I bought it, now has been polybushed, koni dampers, eibach springs, 3.62 CWP ready for the diff rebuild with extra plates. no plans for selling it

I'd be more concerned by sorting the lights out than changing the wheels. At least the wheels are genuine E36 M3 items, if not the saloon ones.

I changed the rears as soon as I got the car home as the standard ones came with it. the fronts didn't.
The difference is night and day when they are on at night, compared to standard. I just need to paint the shiny bits black and I think it'll look much better and more OE at a glance
