I'm sure there's a lot more to the story and it would have been good to see video footage.

The final outcome is quite serious though and in my opinion he should be made an example of to hopefully make people think twice before reacting to other road users.

"Of course rather than take my child out the seat straight away, I whipped out my iPhone and took a picture first of my baby surrounded and covered in glass".

Meanwhile, some of us wonder what would rile the cyclist up to the point that he would commit such an act. Would be perhaps a useful tidbit of info. Top reporting from the BBC as usual.

Yep. Definitely the driver's fault. We know the cyclist did something horrendous, but we can speculate that the driver did something bad.

So you're saying it was likely to be an accident that he smashed the glass having made a conscious decision to use his bike lock to hit it?

Would that be a bit like saying it was an accident that someone's skull fractured when one picked up a hammer to give them a slap?

Honestly, the determination of people in this place to try to defend the indefensible is staggering.

The only thing that is certain is that the run-up to this climax is uncertain, but there is little doubt that the cyclist is a Grade A C*nt.
