Has anybody decided what series they will be racing in next year?

I like the idea the of sharing my car in one of the two driver series.

Which ones provide the best racing?

It really does depend on the car and series/ class structure.

I'm about to finish my first season with CSCC and I've raced in their New Millenium, Modern Classics and Open races - and it's exactly how club motorsport should be operated in my opinion.

Good time to £ ratio, well organised, timely concise comms, friendly people, common-sense regs, driving standards well policed, fair rotation and distribution of garages.

My car is in one of the lighter subscribed classes and the racing is still good as the grids are invariably full. This is aided by sensible combined grids - such as at Silverstone GP where 3 series ran together to form an impressive 60 car grid.

I've also heard good stuff about 750MC Roadsports too - but can't speak from personal experience.

CSCC Modern Classics in a 3.2s Boxster next year for us. We entered CSCC Mag 7s this year, but the Westfield is rather heavier than its Caterham counterparts and so we're skipping Brands this weekend to prepare for next year instead.

This has been our first year racing with CSCC and it has been very friendly, decent rules & regs, has had a very good standard of racing and so the decision to stay albeit in a different series was an easy one.

Haven't competed since 2013, hoping to make my comeback in the spring and it's looking increasingly likely to be a series 2 Lotus Elan in HSCC historic roadsports...

"Best Racing"?

I think you probably need to define this more...

In terms of "close racing", I would recommend any single make championship with strict modifications. They consistently have the closest lap time and the closest racing, just look at the timesheets. The last race I did for the Clios had a 2s spread between 20+ racers.

If you like building cars and engines (with the associated costs) then CSCC, Roadsports and others are also great, but much larger lap time and speed differentials.

Try 1.5 seconds off pole and 17th!! in the BRSCC Mx5 Supercup.

Now that is close racing.

Plenty of cars for sale.

Endurance racing as a shared drive, possibly some rounds of the re-launched Britcar championship.

I've had some great close racing in the Elise Trophy (single class) but for the OP it's not 2 drivers - that's the more expensive Lotus Cup UK (multiple classes).
A mate is planning to do his ARDS ready for next year so was thinking of trying CSCC Modern Classics or 750 Roadsports if we share. I've visited them at different circuits and both had a good atmosphere - as a loiterer with a camera anyway.

Some sprinting and climbing in my supercharged MX5.

A few rounds of MAX5 in a MK1 I bought with a mate a couple of months ago.

Maybe some endurance stuff in Skuzzle's MK2 MX5 monster if we don't kill it at RoR next weekend.

Yeah, great series and very close racing! Alan Henderson's championship winning car is for sale. Would be a great place to start.

Just got my license, taken delivery of my Ginetta G40 and done 2 test days. Racing in the GRDC next season. My first time racing after years of track days.

Just typing that has me thinking "Haha, mental!". :-)

I'll be out in the Lancer now and again but got offered a single seat drive next year in a Force PT for the full sprint season.

Can't wait!
