I know 'Speed kills' and all that but when its quiet I must confess to giving it a bit.
Whats sort of speeds does everyone get up to on their bikes.

Low hundreds most mornings, and I've had it up to 140 (indicated) on a couple of occasions.

I've done an indicated 140, the top speed I think for an unfaired hornet. It goes to 120 fairly rapidly, then you have to tuck down to avoid the wind blast and wait a couple of miles and eventually it gets there.....

I won't post actual indicated speed as I might get sent to jail, but it was very fast on a ZX12R on a flat, dry, perfect, french autoroute and it had a 2 at the front, just

on the ZX6R ive had 170 showing once when i was in a p155y and went for a ride to calm myself down , theres a lot of wind at that speed but the bike felt very stable

the ZZR ive had up to 155 then got caught by a side wind good thing i was on a dual carraige way , you can still see the bite marks on the seat

145 fastest so far. 120 most mornings on major motorway heading into London (only for quick bursts though) An associate wheelies at 120mph, not for me though!

175 on GSXR1100 back in '86.

45 mph on my FS1E!

One wheel: 130mph on GSXR750. More stable that way, it wobbled on two!

'bout 155mph on the 916 (according to speedo), whatever they say you have to tuck well in and wind it up for a long time to get anything higher and it helps if you're small built like Troy Bayliss - I have too much "wind-resistance"

Oh and more recently 101mph (according to traf-plod)
