"When asked about the quadruple world champion and likely 2016 title challenger Sebastian Vettel, Hamilton said: “I have a lot of respect for him, but it’s difficult to assess how good he really is.

“He’s never been in a team with someone like Fernando Alonso, but always with people like Mark Webber, who was not on his level, and Kimi Raikkonen, who is no longer at the peak of his performance,” the Briton added"
^ Does he ever stop? He was one of the ones moaning about Redbull dominance a couple of years back and now HE has an even more dominant car he is letting it go to his head slightly.

I think Button might have a point when he said "He's (Lewis) pretty quickly becoming arrogant."
Hmmmmmm... but once again he's right. You might not like it but Lewis's first teammate was double world champ Alonso... Vettel hasn't ever shared a team with such a stellar talent. No disrespect to Webber or Kimi. In any case, Vettel is awesome and deserves his WDCs ... but that doesn't make Hamilton wrong in what he says.
Don't think Fred Alonso has ever been outpointed by any teammate ever. Jenson looking good for another scalp this year. wink

Well, not sure of the stats but I'm sure Alonso has had the larger share of bad luck this season; I may be wrong. And Button is underrated so either way; fair play. But Alonso was at his very peak when Lewis was a rookie and whilst matched on points, Hamilton finished ahead in the championship due to better overall finishing positions...

In any case, they are all stellar. As I say, it doesn't make what Hamilton has said wrong...

Alonso missed the first race don't forget.

Hamilton can say what he wants about the other drivers but he's only had to beat Rosberg in the last 2 seasons and he will never be remembered as one of the great drivers.

I think he will... and not just based on his time in F1 - but his career in general. It's hard to say who will be remembered as a great as that view is tainted by ones own feelings on it - and ones own feelings might not be in line with the majority.

I think Hamilton,Vettel and Alonso will all be remembered as greats.

Indeed, it's fair to say they are the Prost, Senna and Mansells of this generation.

Difficult to comment without knowing what was said around the comment and what question had been asked. The comment picked up on is very selective, and can certainly be said to be true - Lewis hasn't deliberately driven into another car to win a championship, he has never had a teammate told to move aside to let him pass to gain more points and hasn't asked for (or been given) number one status within a team.

Sure, Schumacher can't respond but it doesn't mean that comparisons can't be made - maybe the question asked was How do you see what you have achieved as different from that achieved by Schumacher?
True but you cant say Schumachers titles werent wont through 'natural ability' also.

Makes me laugh a bit as Hamilton seems to forget Senna did exactly what he was dissing Schumacher for to win a title too.

You sound like you're going to give yourself a nose bleed there sweetheart.
Regardless of how much you try to convince yourself, you know just like I do, Lewis will be remembered as a great. It may bum hurt, but you'll get used to it eventually. hehe

Hamilton will be in the motorsport and Britian's history books and not just because of his championships. Sadly, the above is wishful thinking on your part...and more to do with your attitudes than actual fact.

I can't honestly think why you would say that...hmmmm... thinly disguised, but I'm not blind. Grow up "Superbad"

Oh, he will by those who know what they are talking about.

He is, a rather good driver. Him, Vettel and Alonso are the best on the grid.

Michael Schumacher is many things, but a "knob head" isn't one of them.

That's great and everything, however for most people anybody that is an unsporting cheat is a knob head. Shame really as he was an outstanding driver and didn't need to be cheating knob head to win.

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. For me, it's just putting two adjectives together and one doesn't equal the other. Schumacher may have cheated during his career, but away from the track, I have not seen or read anything that suggests to me that he's a knob head. Quite the opposite actually.

So you like Hamilton, who has cheated (as discussed up there), but hate all cheats?
Logical, I like it.
