Afternoon,

After some further research I have found;

The only vehicle that I can find that appears to spec a Weber fi02/2 is a Motoguzzi California bike, they cross reference with

UFI 31.504.00

Overall Length 134mm two female ends (the connectors are the male bit) requiring a 22m spanner and a 19mm spanner and a diameter of about 58mm

I use Opie Oils and have always found them helpful and competitively priced - but they only have one left.

They cross reference it to a Mahle KL5 which is £25 for two. I have used Mahle before and as German made we assume they are of good quality ?

Fitting doesn't look too bad, providing the nuts for the Coolant Reservoir come undone. I have a nice mouse nest in there as well, although it appears he stayed in France !!

Will probably have a go at fitting next week.

Further progress last night.

The old ones are out, not hard but access is tricky.

Undo the nut on the coolant reservoir and it then just pulls out - there are 2 prongs that sit in holes that need to slide out I will grease them when I refit as they look as if they will get stuck one day and sheer off. You need to remove the overflow pipe which allows you wriggle it out of the.

Undo the bracket that holds them in place and unscrew the filters. The bracket has a semi ridged pipe going through it which makes it a pig to wriggle out of the way but you can. The top end of the filter unscrews easily, the rear end is harder to get at, but use the spanner on the top end and turn it from there.

they are the same length and have the same thread fittings but a touch narrower, they cross reference so should be ok.....

I will get some new o rings as try to refit tonight.

All done.

I bought a box of 225 o rings - and not one was the right size ! I bit of persuasion and they fitted.... They are only to make a tight seal.

Car started no problems ran without spitting fuel onto the exhaust.
