reckon USD 750,000 to USD 1,000,000.

I do like the simpler RM pieces.

When I lived in Dubai I visited the RM shop in the Dubai Mall, chap in there was very friendly and without asking took a few watches out to show me and a friend. I tried one on, noticed it was a tourbillion when picking it up, and whilst putting it on my wrist asked how much it was. About USD 500k was the answer. I very slowly and carefully took it off, placed it on the hardest most sturdy surface I could find, then breathed out.

I actually did ask him how many watches they sell there, and whilst he couldn't tell me the official number, it was less than 2 a month on average. Some business model.....

If it's not a bad joke, what a vacuously inane idea for a watch.

I really wouldn't want to meet anyone who was prepared to wear that load of crap.

Statistically, you'll be fine then.

Do you have a link?

I guess it'll be the Patek Pro, since you never really own it wink

No it's not a joke. It's a real "watch".

And people thought RM was a credible ultra-high-end watch maker.....up there with PP, VC, Lange, Breguet?

I feel bad for RM's collectors - way to undervalue and make a mockery of the brand and their previous horrifically expensive offerings. Appalling..

Jesus, this even makes AP's look "classy."

It's a complete waste of a complication ... Looks naff, imho. I spotted the RM26 'Panda' whilst in Harrods the other day. Obviously designed for the Chinese market. It's an interesting piece, but rather difficult to tell the time, at a glance!

As with most very high end watches that has become more jewellery than time piece.
Whilst at QP Salon this year it was very evident that two things tended to occur as prices for a watch went up.
1. They became harder to read.
2. They became increasingly vulgar.

For me the whole point of a watch is to tell the time. Secondly it has to look good.
Maybe its just me but the time telling is the single point of a watch. The ability to glance at it and see if the pubs open yet, when the next appointment it, whether its coming near to high tide or how long I have before check in closes for my flight.

The RM 'Panda' looks like something that Katie Price would do in association with Elizabeth Duke.

The RM 'Erotica' looks like something Katie Price would do in association with Anne Summers....

Neither are something I would pay money for
