Already happening.

I go to a lot of gigs and the Monday after Paris they had already installed airport style metal detectors.

Where was this ? London?

Nope in Bristol.
02? Colston Hall? I live in Bristol! (almost)
WOT?
Just a spot of clarification...WOT or WoT or W-o-T. Nice place either way.

I've been shot at and didn't have a fking clue what direction the shot came from. Anyone who thinks they can "do an Arnie" are deluding themselves.

I assume that those of you that want to carry guns to protect yourselves and others are already carrying knives. If not, why not? Is it because you are more likely to cut yourself than the other guy? Or is it because the nice policeman says that it's naughty?

^This, fear, confusion, panic - even if you can defeat those, you are still in a very difficult, dynamic situation when trying to establish the trajectory and origin of incoming rounds.

And no, I've never been 'under fire' or in a combat situation (thankfully), but I've seen numerous, similar instances, in both my own experience and videos of events in real life (most notable example of the latter being the Kennedy assassination), to know this to be the case.

I saw that and I was thinking how difficult it will be for them to go on to a dark stage i think I would want all the lights left on.

Jesse Hughes seems very damaged in that interview I really hope he's okay.

Here's the song they are asking artists to cover with proceeds going to the victims.

nice touch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LT0tT8wTjg

hearing the full interview rather than snippits from the BBC you get an idea of how horrific it was. I know people will be along to say the west etc brought it in themselves but really, a killing spree at a rock gig....you have to be some sick indvidual to watch that and hear how people were killed to think those responsible have a point.

Those responsible can never justify the killing of innocent people in this way. But it appears that the killer who is still on the run might have been motivated by videos he often watched of Syrian civilians being killed - which is also as horrific as the killings in France.

Incredible, very moving. Extremely brave of them to talk about this, so soon after the event.

In which 'way' can they justify killing people?

'never justify...But...' This sounds too much like an apology for terrorists, or a form of legitimising. Why would that be?
The But wasn't qualifying the killings, so get off your little high horse. It was supposed to be educational in trying to understand some of the motives that might have driven them.

And why not provide your own answer as to "Why would that be?"?

Interesting point in France today.
A French priest has been dismissed from his role after comparing those killed in the shootings at the Bataclan concert hall with the Isis extremists who shot them, saying they were "Siamese twins".

“Look at the photos of the audience moments before the drama," the article read. "These poor children of the lefty generation, in an ecstatic trance … they are the living dead.

"Their killers, these zombies, are their Siamese twins.

"It’s so obvious!... Same childishness, same lack of culture…Violence, sex, drugs, making a racket … you invoke the devil for a laugh? He will take you seriously."
