Standard Boost Bar on a 996TT
Discussion
Hi,
Am I right in thinking at normal unmodified 996 TT's run at a max of 0.8 bar? Mine is running at a max of 0.9 bar and I wondered if that was unusual or maybe I am just driving it too hard?
I would have thought if it was modified by the former owner it would be put up more to 1.1 bar and not by just 0.1 so I just wanted to put it out there and see what experience any other 996 TT owners have with their cars?
Cheers

rods has a point, my old Subaru STi used to overboost in the very cold weather, and its been very cold.
If 0.9 is the very max you can get out of it then it would suggest overboost of standard car & perhaps not underboost of a modified car ?
Only real way to know is to interrogate the ECU which requires a specialist.....that or we can run the cars side by side to see if yours is quicker than mine....;-)
