Picture Troubles

I didn't realise that the problems some of you were experiencing posting pictures was due to the code not supporting multiple pictures in a post. It does now.

Ted, I can't get mine to work! Today I updated my profile with a new picture, using webshots. However I can only get the picture to display if I click back on my browser, then forward again!!
What am I doing wrong?

Not sure you're doing anything wrong. Looks like webshots may be preventing embedded linking like this. I'll do some more experimentation - was sure I'd checked this out.

I've just put a picture onto webshots and my profile doesn't even get a little box like cammers, it justs prints out the link. Which you then need to click. What should I be doing?

You've linked to a page within your album which is password protected rather than linking to the picture itself (....jpg).

I have ended up using Fotango again, as I still couldn't get the webshots links to work properly!

I don't see how I link to the picture itself. Tried double clicking the picture to go to a picture only page and nothing happens.

You have to right click on it and get the full URL of the picture.

I'd like to offer hosting facilities here to simplify all this stuff, but it's just not economically viable unless I introduce a paid for service.

Ok, grabbed the URL ending in.....jpg. Now I have the box with the red cross like cammers had earlier.

I don't know whether this will help but when I post pics directly in a post (using Fotango) I always get a red cross in the post rather than the pic. The same can be said of the pic in my profile. However if I access the pic at Fotango and then go straight back to the post and/or profile the pic will appear. In order for me to see the pics I've posted I have to go through this sequence again each time I log on.

I also see the same red cross in other peoples profiles so cannot see their cars. I can only assume that these pics I can't see are the ones that are hosted by Fotango and for some reason my computer (Apple Mac) is losing some form of link with Fotango.

i may not be back on this area for a while.i cant tell you how good it is to be able to post pics.and it was real easy once i knew how.i know how frustrating it is. just want to share what i know . cheers dave
