Seems apt for the Classics section wavey

The Ferrari 599 GTO

Using developments honed in the £1.1m experimental 599XX, the GTO has a 6 Litre 65° V12 developing 661 BHP @ 8250 RPM & 457 lb ft of torque at 6500 RPM. A state of tune made for the track, peak horse power at near peak RPM coupled with a super fast but brutal gear change. On-cam and with cold tyres, the GTO will wheel-spin at 80mph in the dry whilst the noise as it reaches the 8400 RPM limiter causes jaws to drop.

When released, it was the most advanced and powerful road-car Ferrari had ever produced even beating the mid-engine Enzo around Fiorano by a full second. The handling and engine tune of the GTO reward a sharp driver but it will bite - particularly in the wet. Just 599 examples were built.

The 700BHP no-limits 599XX it was based from did not have the performance limitation of competition conformity, so Ferrari's engineers had freedom to development as they pleased. The 599XX was the first ever production-derived sports car to record a sub 7 minute Nordschleife lap.

Ferrari limited the 599 GTO to 208mph with 0-60mph taking just 3.35 and 0-124mph taking 9.8 seconds.

Anyone who moans at someone prepared to share great photos of a sensational car has no place on this forum! Personally, I'd say: share away.
