fellas...

Having travelled to Penzance, overnighting and back to 'Town'in my new toy...

Well..'Moist' is about the best description..

The A30 is 'the nuts',100 miles, 2 cameras each side, sweeping bends and fab views. And cars move out of the way !!

However..the speaker upgrade can wait..a full defensive aid suite(DAS)just moved up the pecking order...
So 'garage door opener' and gps/laser detection, which ones and who to fit.
i want it all fitted,(m25 j17/18 area) no wires showing and preferably nothing on the dash...a loud scream through the PCM would do nicely thank you....

Daz has his electronic countermeasures fitted nicely such that the visible bits sit in the oddments tray (if you've got PCM you'll only have one of those under your climate control). IIRC he told me the fitters even found a grommet in the bulkhead through which the wires could be pushed between the nose of the car and the cabin - no need to drill a hole.

Be warned. GPS systems are legal now and will be legal (RoadAngel etc). But detectors (Bel Euro 550) which detect radar and laser are shortly to be outlawed - you DEFINITELY want these invisible and removable...

"Garage door openers" are already illegal if used for the purposes..ahem... IF caught - could be nasty.

Read the story here and decide for yourself.

The site also has reviews and details on every possible system you could want.

And finally I'll add my usual statement - some observation training a la IAM/ROSPA and the Mk1 eyeball coupled with choosing one's moments to "keep the pace up" acts as the best countermeasure ever...
