sofa damage

This is 6 months old from one of the big furniture sheds. As yet not treated with anything, no abuse/unfairly heavy use, surface (paint?) of the leather appears to be peeling in two places. Obviously this is a bit poor - any advice or tips before contacting customer services.. I thought "protection" insurance was a joke but jokes on me it seems? Evan a cheap sofa -not that these were the cheapest- should give me 3+ years before noticeable deg surely?

It is a bit soon under normal use. Hopefully they'll sort it.
