Some of you Cayman R/Spyder owners Autosport Bespoke are producing bolster covers for the bucket seats in matching Alcantara.

Offering a £10 discount on the forum on CaymanOC for members.

They're an improved design over others in the past (Recaro (fake and real, after-market designs).

Quite neat. I used to use a bit of roll cage padding to prevent scuffs getting in and out and stuff it down the the side of the seat whilst driving.

those should be easy enough to make, just 1m of 9002 alcantara and an hour on the old singer and jobs done

But is it worth the hassle for £85?

1m of alcantara will make you 2 pairs plus some left over to even cover your lower dash sections as on the GTS, plus the satisfaction of doing it, easy job

the lower dash sections look super covered in alcantara as they are on the 981 GTS in 9002 or even in red alcantara as i did on the Spyder i had. it lifts a very plain black interior with matching grey/black or contrasting red

I bought a spare set from ebay (3 pieces) striped off the old covering and glued on the new alcantara as they do at porsche.
i also have aspare set of 3panels that i also got from ebay with the old cover removed, just wants the old glue scraping off, spray glueing and new alcantara sticking on. i bought a 3rd set to cover in grey but never got arround to do it so when i sold my spyder it still had the original set plus the red set i had covered fitted to the car. i have this set available if anyone is interested

Nice one - set ordered.

Decided against worrying about the effect putting 10k miles on my 11k miles car will do to residuals and going to hopefully build some memories along the way so this is good timing.!
