Cordless Phone with good range
Discussion
I am after a replacement cordless phone for home to replace our ageing and increasingly unreliable 13 year old ones.
Must's are a good indoor range, at least three handsets and an answerphone. Our house has thick stone walls so I am hoping that some strategic placement will enable coverage round the house without losing too much of the signal through the walls from the base station.
From the phones I have looked at, generically they seem to state a range of 100 meters indoors (apart from BT phones at 50 meters indoors) but has anybody any practical experience of these? And how they perform with thick walls?

In the same situation as you, what I did was get a set of Panasonic cordless (can't remember the model), and an RTX brand DECT repeater. http://www.internetvoipphone.co.uk/rtx-4002-dect-r...
Placed the repeater in a position where it was on the "other side" of the stone wall, but still in good reception of the base station. The phones roam between the base station and repeater without a problem, totally transparent in use.
While they work really well, these can be a pain to configure. Bizarrely, the best setup guide I ever found is in an Amazon review of the product. Follow it exactly and it'll work perfectly. https://www.amazon.co.uk/review/R1FNZ5CZNRNXFE

They work well, weve tested them and although we didnt get the full 1 KM the transmittor was downstairs, indoors and we have REALLY thick walls. I was about 200Meters away in the woods.
