Can I ask for your recommendations for MH insurance
We have purchased a Hymer BSL544
One online quote was somewhat alarmingly high.
No accidents
Claims or convictions
Full car ncb in a decent area of somerset.
Also whether to take breakdown cover with policy or get this separately.

Thanks in advance

AIB (https://www.aib-insurance.co.uk/products/car-insurance/motorhome-insurance ) was recommended to me on 'Motorhomefun' forum and I've been with them for a couple of years. About £300 inc. UK & EU breakdown on a 2013 Motorhome, which is not too bad I think.

And another one. The key thing about the breakdown cover is that it isn't size limited so if you are over 3m tall (overcab), over 7m long (rear garage...) or over 3.5T GVW, then they will still get you home.

Yes, definitely that and the fact the breakdown and recovery cover is for the EU too.

I always alternated between Comfort and Caravan guard.

I wouldn't buy a dead dog off Saga, in fact just asking them for a quote affected my credit score.

I unfortunately had to make a major claim on my van, at that point you start go deal with the insurers anyway so the broker wasn't important.

I am with Comfort but via Motorhomefacts (website). Its 12 quid or so to join MHF but the Comfort insurance discount more than makes up for this.

Comfort it is
Caravan guard dropped to £369 when questioned
Odd how they can knock £53 off when I called back telling them of comforts price for comparable cover.
Thatcham cat 1 confirmed with dealer along with deadlocks.
