Raspberry canes on till Christmas?

I've bought a load of bare root canes from a reputable supplier. Will they be OK in an unheated and normally dark garage until late December?

Soak them and "heel them in" till you get around to planting them.

As above, just pack them altogether in a short trench outside and cover the roots to the correct depth, and plant them properly ASAP, and certainly before any growth starts in spring.

If they dry out, or get too warm and start sprouting too early, they will be knackered.
