Saw a video on Facebook of him announcing his new spider - the La Ferrari Alperta laugh

My word, that looks sublime! Was never quite sure on the LaF but it's grown on me and looks stunning in that colour.

That must be tedious as fk, having strangers constantly following you about the place with cameras.

Awsome car, but I'd question if it was worth the hassle if that's what you get every time you take it out.

He bought a multi-million pound hypercar, had it specced in a very visible colour, then announced it in a very public way.

I am sure if he wanted to he could enjoy it in peace. He wants to be a little bit flamboyant, that's fine.

It looks a bit awkward in that colour. It's certainly not a pretty car is it?

I like the concept though.

I saw him announce it on the last series of Top Gear, when he brought out the presentation box containing the key. It was rather gauche.

I can't for the life of me understand why someone would actively court that level of attention.

When you are a 'celebrity' the only thing worse than being in the papers is not being in the papers.

D-listers, perhaps, but an extremely successful and well known person like GR?

Baffling.

Because it allows him to make enough cash to buy multi million pound Ferrari?

Well, no. I think it's fair to say that GR is well past the point of having to chase attention in order to build his profile, in order to become successful - and in turn, as you suggest, buy a hypercar.

I can barely stand to watch him on telly. He's so abrasive and rude to people that it's embarrassing.

Fair enough, he has a posh new car and lots of money to splash around, but he's still a c**t.

Another shining example of the failure of capitalism.

"We went to Gordon Ramsey's" sells a lot of dinners.

But only because the people who one might say 'we went to Gordon Ramsey's" to, but whom might not go there themselves, need to know who Gordon Ramsey is.

Oh, and because he's an intolerable egotist.
