Steel splashback or tiles
Discussion
I am sorting out the kitchen in my nephews first house and wanted to find out what the latest thinking is on wall coverings behind the hob. He has chosen tiles for under the cupboards but we are unsure whether to tile behind the hob up to the extractor or fit a steel splashback as people have been doing for the last few years. What is the current trend?

Personaly feel that it doesn't matter what the trend is, it depends on what 'look' you are trying to create, and what goes with what you have already, and of course what your nephew likes. Take a look at Glass splashbacks or led backlit glass splashbacks too.

I think it depends on the colour of the tiles and units.
The tiles he has chosen are like huge metro tiles in a light blue and the units are cream with a black granite worktopTiles are this kind of size - http://www.toppstiles.co.uk/tprod46180/attingham-s...

Tiles are very last century.
The latest thinking is antique glass.
Less of that its my money he is spending! The latest thinking is antique glass.
The correct answer is cheap metro tiles everywhere right?
