Evening chaps, and happy NY to you all.

I'm having a large extension project starting in Feb, and one of the things being replaced is the boiler/tank setup.

At present we've got a SUPRIMA boiler (20 years old) that's been pretty amazingingly relaible TBH. We've upgraded all the rads, pipes and copper tank in recent years. System has a cold water tank in the loft (vented is it?) Shower is powered by a Stuart Tanner pump. We've never had hot water shortgage issues etc, and pressure is fine.

Builder has quoted for a new high pressure setup, so at some point will ask me what boiler/tank i want. I wouldn't mind knowing what makes are best to go for? which tank works well with what boiler / system etc.

House will be a 4 bed semi over two floors when complete.
We are a family of 4 with two young boys, who will become teenagers all too quickly! So need to think ahead. We live in the suburbs of London, so pressure seems pretty soild.

We now have an Ideal after our Worcester-Bosch died just outside their warranty....our plumber agreed that W-B do a great job publicising themselves but are not that great (they have an infamous EA code which means Error Again, or Every Autumn, depending on who you run into!): I appreciate others here will disagree, & clearly they do shift a fair number of them, but for me, I will not have another!!

Our tank is just a fairly standard Albion 250l jobbie....works fine for us.
