While I'm with you on the value front there are plenty who'll disagree.
My only thought would be brake balance given the comparable poor performing rear set up.
I use the Brembo 4 pot calipers with huge 324 mm discs on my Chim, I liken the braking effect on many Tvrs to a motorbike. My only thought would be brake balance given the comparable poor performing rear set up.
It's actually the fronts that do most of the work, my bias has moved towards the fronts but it's much better, I can actually brake when the cars not perfectly in a straight line and still get stopping power on the front without the rear trying to swap ends.
Different model but I'd say these upgrades given careful thought to brake pads and discs can be a real advantage and in my view safety upgrade. I can stop much quicker
Alun, the Wedge has the Jag inboard brakes at the rear which perform very poorly for a variety of reasons. You can't compare the effective, standard rear brakes of the Chimp to that of a Wedge.
I am no stranger to modifying the brakes on my TVRs. The Wedge needs a bit more consideration though.
I agree that most of the braking is done by the front brakes, does that mean doing away with the rears? No, of course not. Indeed, hotter versions of mainstream cars have upgraded front and rear brakes.
The kit in the OP is great. Princess 4-pot set up is cheaper but a bit faffy but the rears need some attention too. In my case upgraded pads and some ducting for cooling.

Hi,
I still have a 300 mm set-up for sale.
2 piece disc 300 x 28 which uses the AP/TVR CP6600 caliper.
Will try to find a picture and post it.
Regards
hans.
It's not worth the risk buying brakes which to be perfectly honest you have no idea of the quality. Hans has AP'S for sale ready to go and AP are tried and tested brand, not the cheapest but it's not worth trying to save money, with something that has to stop you and your car ,IMHO.I still have a 300 mm set-up for sale.

KKson, the discs in that Hi-spec kit look suspiciously like re-drilled BMW discs like I have on my setup
Does you know if theyou are 316x28mm?
No, discs are 295mm x 28mm. Supposedly they are the biggest you can fit and keep the standard 15" wheels. Are you running 316mm discs inside 15" rims?Does you know if theyou are 316x28mm?
I've just checked the invoice and kit was actually £685 including VAT and delivery. This was for the grooved discs and EBC standard pads. You can get a variety of different disc patterns, i.e. drilled, grooved, plain, grooved and drilled etc.

I remember them from an old Jag I knew well.
The idea is ace, bringing all that weight inboard
Hmmm scrap my comments then
Totally different animal.

16inch im afraid, although I haven't tried to fit a 15inch rim over them to be fair. May possibly fit behind 15s if the caliper was really snug to the disc i guess I've just checked the invoice and kit was actually £685 including VAT and delivery.
