Good to see you earlier mate. Nice to see a GTR that doesn't exist in a load of boxes !!

Btw. That 525 smokes like fook when you floor it!

One of the marvels of electronic technology. If you floor it in first, second and third the tc gets jiggy ( a name your paintwork may well be known in in the future) and cuts the spark. End result loads of fuel in the exhaust and lots of smoke. However, I was being gentle so you did not get the flamed steak effect. With the over rated 600bhp superdooppy engine you will get alot of this (with TC) and a lot of rubber in all gears. Nice yo see you and the build but am a bit worried about those rivets. I noticed one rivet out of line by 0.15mm. You should really use the laser more- all I can say is shocking build quality.

If either Mr or Mrs stig want a ride let me know.

A RIVET OUT OF PLACE - NEVER!!!!

Send me a pic and I'll weld in the ally, refinish it and amend the offending item!

It certainly looks a lot better than the Locost after another car overtook me LITERALLY - that is, OVER the TOP of me!

It reminded why I'm putting all my time and effort into building the Ultima

We'd both certainly love a go next time you're about and I'm not in my workshop clobber - can't stain that lovely alcontara mate after all! Lots to do this weekend on the car. Should be about ready for body pre-fit which is coming on the 19th

Sorry BlueSatin but yours did that before the TC was fitted. I'm reliably informed that mine does as well, explains the oil consumption I suppose. Recently went for a bit of a blast with a friends new Caterham R400. He was complaining that he could hardly breathe behind the Ultima for all the smoke / unburnt fuel. Just a shame he couldn't overtake to get out of my fumes

It's a Chevy, They all smoke when there putting out that kind of power. The Only cure is Total Seal rings, combined with a vacumn pump on the breathing system, to create a negative crankcase Pressure. Thats how the race boys do it in the states.
